A Bit About
The Hope Shop

The Hope Shop is open every Friday afternoon from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Our doors open at 11:30 for fellowship and warm drinks followed by a delicious meal served at 12:00 pm. The Hope Shop is a proud Foodlink member, and we invite members of our community to come and receive fresh groceries free of charge from Foodlink and other local partners starting at 12:30 pm.

The Hope Shop is more than a food pantry; we hope to build an environment where people can find nourishment for their bodies and souls. While we are committed to providing reliable access to food, our deeper mission is to foster a sense of purpose, belonging, and personal growth within our community. We strive to create a welcoming environment where individuals are encouraged to build meaningful connections, discover their strengths, grow spiritually, and eventually bridge a deeper connection to the local church.

Why did you feel called to this ministry?

I felt a deep conviction to invest in my local community. What started as a desire to help meet the basic needs of people has grown into a calling to faithfully serve, build relationships, and be part of something that brings hope and transformation to an individual's life.

How has it changed since you took over?

Since stepping into this role, we have placed a greater emphasis on intentionally reaching into the community and inviting those we serve to become part of that mission. Many community members now serve as volunteers which has fostered a deeper sense of ownership and connection.
